BC PNP 2026: What Applicants Need to Know This Year
BC PNP Nomination Allocation for 2026
For 2026, British Columbia has received a limited number of nomination spaces, shaping how the province will manage invitations and program priorities throughout the year. While the allocation represents an increase compared to the start of the previous year, it remains lower than what the province requested to meet its labour market needs.
Because of this, BC is expected to continue using a highly targeted approach to issuing invitations, focusing on candidates who can make the strongest economic impact.

BC PNP 2025 - Update
In 2025, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) is adapting to a 50% reduction in its federal nomination allocation, slashed from 8,000 in 2024 to just 4,000. Despite this constraint, British Columbia remains committed to addressing critical labor market needs by focusing on healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs, and skilled workers with high economic impact.

The number and frequency of invitations to apply is based on annual nomination allocations from the Canadian federal government (IRCC), and the provinces ability to process applications in a timely way.
